The Backstreet Boy’s were back Friday night in Chicago and started it with a Mexican dinner at city’s newest hotspot, Barrio. Three of the five members of the hit boy band, Howie D, A.J. McLean and Nick Carter were in town as they were performing for Florida Georgia Line’s Smooth Tour. The group of eight, which included wives and friends, dined on Chef Katsuji Tanabe’s Mexican fare including queso fundido and of course his tacos. As Chef Tanabe was on hand in the kitchen, he made a point to stop by and say, “Hi” to the band members before they made their way out for the night.

The Gallagher clan is back in Chicago filming scenes for the upcoming season eight of Shameless. Following a weekend of shooting for the hit Showtime series, the group, including Shanola Hampton, Jeremy Allen White and Emma Kenney, were seen dining at DineAmic Group’s newest restaurant, Barrio, helmed by Top Chef Katsuji Tanabe. Also spotted with the group, newcomer to the show and ex-Gossip Girl character, Jessica Szohr. The series continues to prove to be one of the most popular on television as the cast was immediately spotted upon entering Tanabe’s restaurant. But a little stardom action never stopped a Gallagher from a night out as the group continued their evening following some photos with fans.

Kings Bowl
Lupe Fiasco, Chicago Blackhawk Niklas Hjalmarsson and Chicago PD actress Marina Squerciati visited Kings Bowl Lincoln Park Sunday, October 30 for a private event for Fiasco’s “M.U.R.A.L” foundation. Magnifying Urban Realities & Affecting Lives (M.U.R.A.L), is a uniquely interdisciplinary, grassroots-driven organization that works to inspire and unite Chicago communities and their youth by providing transformative resources and platforms that are in short supply or unavailable. Specifically, the Foundation pursues three key initiatives — including food justice, the creation and implementation of hip-hop scholars and youth empowerment funding.
They enjoyed Kings’ cucumber feta rolls, southwest spring rolls, honey BBQ wings and assorted gourmet pizzas. Marina even bowled a strike!

The “Gallagher” family is back together in the Windy City as the “Shameless” cast was in Chicago continuing to film scenes for season seven. Not only are they back together in Chicago, they all met up at one of their favorite spots, Fabio Viviani’s Siena Tavern for a finale night cast dinner. Emmy Rossum, Jeremy Allen White, Steve Howey, Cameron Monaghan, Emma Kenney, Isadora Goreshter and more, were all dining on Viviani’s Italian fare, while some sipped on wine. Following the meal, before the group dispersed, they posed outside of the restaurant for a photo, followed by Monaghan and White – who play brothers on the show – heading back inside and posting up in the bar area to finish watching game six of the World Series.

A photo says it all… less than 24-hours of hitting the first leadoff home run ever in Game 7 of a World Series, center fielder Dexter Fowler treated himself to the now insta-famous cake shake served at Public House. Paying homage to the World Series Champs, Public House changed the funfetti decorated shake to be Cubs colors of red and blue. Fowler documented this cake shake encounter as he instagrammed himself with it titling the photo simply, “CHAMPS.”

It was a full house in more ways than one at Fabio Viviani’s bustling Italian eatery, Siena Tavern last night; actor Bob Saget, was spotted having dinner with his girlfriend Kelly Rizzo on Wednesday night. The couple dined on the newly added branzino dish and pizza in which Saget was overheard saying, ‘It was the best pizza he has ever had.’ Friend of the actor, Jim Gaffigan, later joined the duo during their two-hour dinner. The group sipped on hand-crafted cocktails and talked briefly about the “Chicago Ideas Week” which was the reason for Saget’s Chicago visit. The night ended with Saget and Gaffigan taking a photo and joking as he captioned it: My friend @JimGaffigan has never looked better. Dang I love Chicago!
