Chicago Cubs infielder Addison Russell visited Kings Bowl Lincoln Park Thursday, July 27. He enjoyed Kings Classic Burger and BBQ Chicken pizza with smoked Gouda and Jack cheese, caramelized onions, seasoned tomatoes and cilantro.

Chef Tony Mantuano recently threw a first pitch at Wrigley – the Spiaggia chef and lifelong Cubs fan’s dreams came true last Weds, 6/7 when he threw the first pitch during the Cubs v. Marlins game at Wrigley –  and did very well, as photos can attest. 
As a side note, There’s a fun tie-in to an Eater Chicago story initially run in 2013, were Tony included as #28 on his “30 Before 30″ Bucket List “Tony throws the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game.”

Cubs players, Willson Contreras and Alberto Almora Jr, stopped in CUBA312 in Roscoe Village to dine in with their families to celebrate their World Series Victory. The were generous enough to take time and pose with fan!

A photo says it all… less than 24-hours of hitting the first leadoff home run ever in Game 7 of a World Series, center fielder Dexter Fowler treated himself to the now insta-famous cake shake served at Public House. Paying homage to the World Series Champs, Public House changed the funfetti decorated shake to be Cubs colors of red and blue. Fowler documented this cake shake encounter as he instagrammed himself with it titling the photo simply, “CHAMPS.”

As the Chicago Cubs are set to embark on Game One of the World Series tonight, some of the cast and crew at the nationally celebrated haunted house brand, House of Torment http://www.houseoftormentchicago.com in Morton Grove, wonder if the animatronic goat at their haunt and a visit from a few Chicago Cubs’ players helped break the curse. On the evening of Wednesday, October 12, just a few days before the Cubs v Dodgers series began, three Chicago Cubs players including 2016 All Star player, Shortstop, and Second Baseman Addison Russell, Pitcher Justin Grimm, and Outfielder and Pinch Hitter Matt Szczur visited House of Torment for that other October pastime, scares from a haunted house.


“Addison Russell, Justin Grimm, and Matt Szczur visited House of Torment, and it was great to have them!” stated House of Torment haunted house General Manager, Bryan Kopp. “We do have a very large animatronic goat skull in the haunt. We’re not sure it means anything, but there’s been a lot of talk about how the Cubs curse may have been broken since their visit on October 12, as the Cubs did clinch the NLCS!” Kopp kids, but could it be true?


Visit the only Chicagoland haunted house known to have a goat’s head and the magic of three Chicago Cubs player walking through its corridors, House of Torment, open through Halloween, Monday October 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and until midnight on Saturday, October 29, to help ensure the curse stays broken and the Chicago Cubs win the World Series!
